India will face Bangladesh in the first Test match at the iconic Chennai on September 19, followed by the second Test at Kanpur on September 27. Team India's domination over the last few years has been exceptional. Since the series win against Australia in 2013, India registered 17 successive Test series victories, the last being a 4-1 triumph against England. Another win against Bangladesh will cement India's place in the 2025 World Test Championship finals. India's new coach Gautham Gambhir has a challenging job to pick the final playing XI. The excitement of Indian cricket fans is palpable with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli returning to the test side. Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal are certain to make it to the squad. While Rishabh Pant is certain to be included on the side, accommodating KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel is a tough task. A terrific match-saving innings from Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan in the last series against England adds drama to the confusion. It will be interesting to see if Gambhir goes with Siraj's experience or considers Akash Deep to accompany Jasprit Bumrah. Yash Dayal is another pacer waiting for his debut. Trouble continues for Gautam Gambhir in choosing between the expertise of Ashwin and Jadeja and the brilliance of Kuldeep and Axar Patel.

Bangladesh dominated all three departments in their recent tour against Pakistan. They displayed tremendous character and skill amid pressure to clinch the series 2-0. They gear up to face the mighty India on Indian soil with immense confidence. Skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto received applause for leading the team and instilling fearless cricket. Liton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and Mushfiqur Rahim with bat and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nahid Rana, Taskin Ahmed, and Hasan Mahmud ensured they grabbed a memorable victory. 

On top of the WTC points table currently, India wants to register another series win against Bangladesh to better its chances of appearing in the finals for a third straight time at the Lords next summer. Having lost the WTC finals in a row, India will go all guns blazing to announce its supremacy in the upcoming Test championship.
