India vs New Zealand Series Full of Excitement

Team India, the table-toppers on the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-2025 points table, has found itself in a precarious position after suffering back-to-back defeats against New Zealand in the ongoing IDFC First Bank Test Series. The Kiwis registered their first series win against India in India and became the first team to hand over a series win at home after 12 years. After a brilliant performance in the first Test at Bengaluru, New Zealand continued in the same spirit to win the second Test at Pune. The Kiwis dominated India in all departments and claimed an upper hand in both Tests. With the third and final Test match slated for November 1 at the Wankhede, it will be interesting to see how both teams gear up for the game. Led by Tom Latham, New Zealand ended India's long-standing domination at home. It took over 12 years for a visiting team to curb India's 18 straight Test series wins at home. The Kiwis achieved this remarkable feat when they defeated India in the second match of the ongoing IDFC First Bank Test Series. New Zealand's top order provided a good start before Indian spinners started to spin their magic. Ravichandran Ashwin and Washington Sundar grabbed all the wickets. Washington Sundar registered his career-best figures in this Test. However, a fantastic bowling spell from Mitchell Santner guided the Kiwis to a memorable victory.

India must win the next four of their six Test matches, a challenging task for Rohit Sharma and his squad, considering India facing Australia in Australia for a five-match Border Gavaskar trophy later in November. While India looks to win the third Test and end the series with a victory, New Zealand will eye on a series whitewash.
